This Summer we have been lucky so far with temperatures of up to 30º! So why not entertain your guests outside? Whether you have a small balcony or a large patio there are some key features which can help transform your space into an amazing escape.
If it is a Moroccan style outdoor theme that you want or a lush botanical garden , it can all be achieved with a few tips and images that will spark your imagination!
For all of us based in Northern Europe, and especially our UK readers, we all know that the rain is a frequent visitor therefore when setting up an outdoor space we must consider rain-proof or movable furniture choices, unless your outdoor space is sheltered.
When deciding what furniture to get you must think about the main purpose of your outdoor space. Do you use it for outdoor dining, for relaxing in the afternoon or at the weekend or for growing potted herbs and vegetables? This will determine what furniture you need for your space.
Another tip that woks well in outdoor spaces is to mix and match. Don't be afraid of adding colour and texture that clash, such as bright patterned cushions and floor mats in clashing colours. Try our green WEWE cushion, which works perfectly outside with for example a set of bright pink lanterns.
No matter what size your outdoor space is you can always create a romantic soft touch by including some decorative lighting, whether they are large, windproof lanterns or LED fairy lights. Choosing the right lighting can change the whole look and mood of a space and add comfort and coziness to your environment.
Last but not least why not bring a bit of mother nature into your balcony by adding some scented plants and flowers. My favourite is lemon scented geranium, which smalls divine and keeps mosquitoes away. And if you don't have a green thumb, why not add some artificial grass which will instantly change the look of your outdoor space into a mini Wimbledon on your doorstep.
With these helpful tips, you will have your balcony or patio looking fabulous in no time!
