Living Room: Seating

Living Room: Seating

Picture this: a long and hard day at work, being stuck in traffic on your way home and finally reaching home and cuddling up on your sofa with a hot cup of tea. It sounds like heaven to me! This week we are looking at seating options for the living room. As the main function of a living room is to create a comfortable space where people can relax, gather, sit and talk, seating becomes the most important furniture in a living room. Often the sofa is the first thing to find its place in a living room and the rest of furniture is placed around it. Have you ever noticed that everyone has their favourite spot to sit in the living room? It may be totally random, or maybe it is the best position to see the TV or the spot has the has the best lighting to read a book. Sitting furniture has a variety of names. for example sofas for two are called ‘love seats’, and then there are a lot of synonyms that can be used such as settee, couch, canapé (a three-seater), etc.– they are all slightly different, but with the same function: to sit down and relax! Have a look at some items we found for you.
