Colour is the essence of my life, especially when it comes to home décor and interior design. People often ask me how to add colour and personality to their homes and I always suggest soft furnishings in their favourite colours but also highlight the importance of fresh, colourful flowers and scent.
So you can imagine how ecstatic I am that I can now share the Jo Malone event In Conversation with Eva Sonaike, with you, which I filmed in March with Vogue contributing editor and beauty writer Funmi Fetto, author of beauty bible Palette.
We discovered ways to bring colour and scent into your home as I revealed my tips for styling your home for spring, as well as how to add seasonal touches to your table settings.
In case you missed the live event, you can watch the video here.
I spent the morning setting up a beautiful dining table with my colourful cushions and table accessories in a light-filled room with high ceilings and a large fireplace at the Jo Malone headquarters in the heart of London.
Inspired by my favourite scents Peony & Blush Suede and English Pear and Freesia, the theme was spring blossom with an array of colour and as you can imagine, I added my bold colours and African patterns to the tablescape to give it that extra Eva Sonaike touch.
In case you are unfamiliar with tablescaping, it is the art of setting a themed dining table artfully and decoratively. It was originally used for events and competitions but has found more popularity in recent years and many people, including myself, use it now in their own homes.
