I Need A Break: Coco Ocean

I Need A Break: Coco Ocean

Today is one of those miserable, freezing-cold, grey London days. It is official and I don’t like it: winter has arrived! I was working on an African hotel editorial project over the summer and fell in love with the Coco Ocean Resort in the Gambia. Looking at the pictures will hopefully cheer you up or, if you have not booked you winter get-away yet, give you an idea for a nice vacation in one of the most beautiful and relaxing countries in West Africa. Coco Ocean Resort & Spa, the newest and probably most opulent five star boutique resort and spa in The Gambia offers its visitors the ultimate luxury experience along the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic coast. A warm welcome of soothing sea breeze, lush tropical gardens, discreet whitewashed buildings, individual villas and wonderful views awaits visitors at this hotel. The Moroccan-inspired architecture and décor, featuring high ceilings and impressive domes, have been created to keep the buildings cool as well as producing an elegant design and maximise the use of natural light. The arches, courtyards and palm trees harmonize perfectly with the simple and elegant decor of the hotel to create an ambience that instantly makes guests want to relax and unwind. A variety of restaurants offer diverse menus with international, Thai, Moroccan and fusion influences. The 1800sq metre, Spa facility is an integral part of the property with 9 ocean view treatment rooms, providing a full range of treatments on offer by specialist therapists from around the world.

This tropical paradise in West Africa offers a wide choice of rooms and suites, three swimming pools, a club pool and four royal suites with their own private pools. Guests can lounge in their private cabanas and soak up the sun or enjoy the tranquility of the sea breeze.
