We are very proud to announce that our orange Ijoba cushion is featured in Cole & Son’s recent Ardmore Collection campaign.
Founded in 1875 Cole & Son wallpaper collections represent styles across the centuries and include some of the most historic wallpaper designs in the world. Cole & Son have provided wallpaper for many historic houses including Buckingham Palace.
The stylist Susie Clegg, called us last autumn to borrow some of our cushions for the forthcoming shoot of Cole & Son's Ardmore collection. Can you imagine how excited we were!
The Ardmore collection consists of a charming and stylish new range of wallpapers and borders in collaboration with Ardmore Ceramic Art celebrating African traditions and culture.
The Zambezi wallpaper, which is part of the collection features a flotilla of boats, originally sculpted by Sotho artist Benet Zondo, captained by an array of animals all floating gently down the Zambezi river in Zimbabwe. Softly coloured zebras monkeys, elephants and hyenas all feature as do the occasional crocodile and haughty flamingo, so this delightful wallpaper will be loved by children and adults alike.
This fits in perfectly wit our bright orange Ijoba cushion, that is inspired by the lush green botanical Aburi gardens in Ghana and features a petal stem in orange, burgundy and pink and is set against a warm orange batik background.
And don’t you love the fluffy Beni Ourain rug and the Baba Tree basket fro Ghana? African design from across the continent is definitely on the rise!
